In previous installments, we see that Joe receives an anonymous call from someone who is also a ninja in exile facing similar threats. They propose a collaboration and plan to infiltrate AUZA, which is nothing less than a battle fortress. They devise a strategy to breach their defenses while Morris searches the dark web for hackers. The previous episode went back in time to show glimpses of Higan’s past as an assassin in Japan and his relationship with Mari and their ally Zai, who are now Higan’s enemies.
